The Girls Scout Gold award requires its participants use their abilities to help fix a problem within their community or make a lasting change in their world. As part of her efforts to achieve this award, Level Up black belt Ms. Trainor recently ran an event at her local community center celebrating different cultures. With the aid of the Canton Librarian and her fellow scouts, they explored the origin country of Colombia from the film Encanto and presented to an audience of under 11.
